1．自分自身の救いを達成せよ（6:1-5）
パウロとしては、言いたいことを言い切った感があったのでしょう。1節「兄弟たち、もしだれかが、何かの過ちに陥っていることが分かったなら」と、話題を転じています。そしてさっそく、「御霊の人であるあなたがたは」と言います。つまりこれまで述べてきたように、キリストの心を自らの心とし、豊かな実を結ぶように生きようとする人であるならば、だれかが、何かの過ちを犯した時には、優しく、謙遜な態度で、その人に問題を気づかせてあげましょう、と言うわけです。
確かに、一度問題を指摘し、それで人が気づくようであれば、苦労はしません。言ってもわからず、どうしたらよいものか、と悩む人は多いものです。ただ、教会はキリストの心をもって、つまり十字架愛に立って物事を考え、行動する場です。また御霊の実を結ぶ中で、つまり霊的な成長を志す中で、自らも成長途上にあるという自覚のもとに、互いに教え合う場です。ですから、そこには、忍耐の限りを尽くし、丁寧に、教えていく姿があることでしょう。さすが教会だなあ、争いに満ちた社会とは違うなと感心されるような状況も起こりうるのです。自身のあり様に注意し、変な誇りに陥ることもなく、互に補いあって、問題を解決させていくことです。
2．家族に善を行う（6:6-10）
続いてパウロは、牧師の生活に配慮するように語ります。残念ながら、こうしたことが良く出来ている教会とそうでない教会の差があります。牧師の生活は、その教会に所属する信徒が考えなければ誰も考えません。日本の大方の牧師は、新興宗教の指導者とは異なって、真面目で、小さく貧しい教会に負担をかけないようにしています。つまり、信徒に生活に困っていることも言わず、副業を持ち、大変な苦労をしていることがあります。しかし、信徒のために日々みことばを語る働きそのものが尊いのであり、謝儀あるべきものなのですから、その点、キリストの心を心とする教会はしっかり配慮できるようになりたいものです。
パウロは、そのような意味で、自分の肉欲を楽しませるだけの人生に見切りをつけて、神に与えられているものを有効に活用するように勧めます。機会を見つけ、ことに信仰の家族に対して善を行うのです。そのような人に、神様からの豊かな報いがあるのは間違いありません。
3．最後のことば（6:11-18）
最後にパウロはもう一度、割礼の問題を取り上げます。もうユダヤ人の文化である割礼を異邦人に強いることは止めよう、と。信仰はそのような形の問題ではないのだ。本当に一人一人が、キリストの十字架の愛に生きているかどうかの問題だ。大事なことは、神のいのちによって常に新しい人生に向かって生きていくことだ。クリスチャンは宗教をやっている人なんかではないのだ。
そしてパウロは自分の体に受けた割礼とは別の傷、つまりむち打ちの傷について語ります（2コリント11:23-25）。それこそ大事な傷だ、と。それは、パウロがキリストと共に生きていることの証なのです。パウロのように、キリストと苦労を分かち合って生きる、そのようにして初めてわかる神の祝福もあるのです。

Galatians 6: Live a new life!
1. Working out your own salvation (6:1-5)
Paul must have felt that he had said all he wanted to say, because he changes the subject in verse 1: “Brethren, if anyone finds that he has fallen into any error,” he says. Then he immediately says, “You who are of the Spirit. In other words, as we have said, if you are a person who has the mind of Christ as your mind and you are trying to live in a way that produces abundant fruit, then if someone makes a mistake, you should be gentle and humble enough to point out the problem.
Of course, once you point out a problem, if that is all it takes for a person to realize it, there is no difficulty. Many people don’t understand even when you tell them, and they wonder what to do. But the church is a place to think and act with the mind of Christ, with the love of the cross. It is also a place where we can teach one another with the awareness that we ourselves are in the process of growing as we strive to bear the fruit of the Spirit, in other words, spiritual growth. Therefore, there will be an appearance of teaching with all patience and care. There may be situations where people are impressed by the fact that this is a church and not a quarrelsome society. We should be aware of our own condition, not fall into a state of pride, and complement each other to solve problems.
2. Do good to the family (6:6-10)
Paul then talks about taking care of the pastor’s life. Unfortunately, there is a difference between churches that do these things well and those that do not. No one thinks about the life of a pastor unless the congregation of that church thinks about it. Most pastors in Japan, unlike leaders of new religions, are serious and try not to burden the smaller, poorer churches. In other words, they do not even tell their congregations that they are struggling to make ends meet and may have a second job and are having a very hard time. However, the work of speaking the Word daily for the church itself is precious and should be recognized, and in this respect the church with the mind of Christ as its heart should be able to take this into consideration.
In this sense, Paul encourages us to give up a life that only satisfies our carnal desires and to make good use of what God has given us. He finds opportunities to do good, especially for the family of faith. There is no doubt that God will richly reward such a person.
3. concluding words (6:11-18)
Finally, Paul addresses the issue of circumcision once again. He says that we should no longer impose the Jewish culture of circumcision on the Gentiles. Faith is not a matter of such forms. It is really a matter of each of us living in the love of the cross of Christ. The important thing is to live by the life of God, always living into a new life. A Christian is not someone who is religious.
Paul then speaks of another wound on his body, a whiplash wound, in addition to circumcision (2 Corinthians 11:23-25). This is the important wound, he says. It is a sign that Paul is alive with Christ. There are blessings of God that can only be known when we share our struggles with Christ as Paul did.
