【シーズン６】民数記36章  相続地の例外規定（女性相続者の場合）【聖書】人生100倍の祝福

　私たちが好きなのは、勝利の最後です。しかし、勝利が部分的にしか実現できなかったとしたらどうなるでしょうか？約束は与えられたものの、完全に果たされなかったのです。例えば民数記36章、長くて困難な旅の最終章、それは土地について書いています。40年間荒野を彷徨っていたイスラエルの民が、先祖に約束された土地に入るのです。その最後の待望の瞬間に、民数記の著者が記録するのは、壮大な軍事的な征服でも、祝賀の瞬間でもなく、法的な問題、女性と土地の問題だったのです。

1．女性相続人の結婚（36:1-13）

　すでにモーセは、27章で、ツェロフハデの娘の訴えを取りあげ、人の相続地は、男性の相続者がいない場合、娘に与えられる新しい原則を確立しています（1-11節）。しかし、その問題は、新たな複雑な問題を引き起こしました。つまり、もし、土地を所有する娘たちが部族外の男性と結婚したらどうなるのかということです。土地は、他の部族のものとなり、時が経つにつれ、ある部族の土地は縮小し、別の部族の土地は拡大することが起こるかもしれません。そこで、モーセは、神のみこころを取りついで新たな原則を示しました。土地を相続した女性は、その部族内で結婚しなければならない、というものです（6節）。これを制限と見る人もいるかもしれません。しかし実際には、これは安全策であり、約束されたものを守るための方法だったのです（7節）。イスラエルには、ヨベルの年には、土地が元の所有者、つまり売主に返されるルールがありました（レビ25:23-25）。しかしそれは、結婚の結果移転された土地については適用されません。この新しい原則は重要なものでした。

ツェロフハデの五人の娘たちは、同意し、おじの息子たちに嫁ぎました。こうして彼女たちの受けた相続地は、彼女たちの父の氏族の部族に残ることになりました。

2．女性相続者のルールが最後に語られることの意義

　さて民数記を振り返ると、この書は、放浪、反乱、奇跡、戦いに満ちた書物でした。それなのに、最終章は、法的な判決、相続の問題について、しかも娘たちの訴えです。その意義は何なのか、実はこれがポイントなのかもしれないと改めて考えてみたいところでしょう。

　つまり私たちはしばしば、約束とは単純なやりとりと考えます。誰かが約束を申し出、私たちはそれを受け入れるのです。しかし、民数記36章は、約束において意識すべき点を強調しています。つまり、約束を受け取るだけではなく、それを守ることです。

　　さらに、聖書が記録する土地相続の問題は、男性ではなく女性です。神は、男性も女性もなくあらゆる人を目に留めておられるということを、ここで再確認もできます。

つまり、民数記36章は、ドラマチックな書物を締めくくるには、奇妙に思えるかもしれませんが、実際には、完璧な終わり方なのです。

イスラエルの民は、40年間の放浪の旅を、様々な試練を乗り越えて、約束の地の前に立っています。「わたしは、…カナンの全土を、あなたとあなたの後の子孫に永遠の所有として与える」（創世記17:8）と神がアブラハムに対して約束されたその約束がついに果たされるところまで来たのです。

民数記36章の最後の言葉は、「これは主がモーセを通してイスラエルに命じた命令と定めである」（民数記36:13）。

これは、民数記全体の締めくくりでもあります。

＊ 神の約束は変わらない。

＊しかし、それを維持できるかどうかは人間の応答次第である。

＊ 祝福を受けたなら、それを最後まで守り抜くことが大切である。

この世の誘惑や困難の中で、神が与えようとしている祝福を守り続けることは簡単ではありません。しかし、民数記の歴史を見ると、神の約束に従った人々が最終的にその祝福を手にしたことがわかります。神が与えたものを大切にし、それを維持し続ける努力が必要なのです。あなたにも、あなたの教会にも神の祝福が豊かにありますように。

Numbers 36: Special Rules for Inheritance (Women as Heirs)

People love stories with clear victories.
A long journey. A final triumph.

But what happens when a victory is only partially realized?
What if a promise is given—but not completely fulfilled?

Numbers 36 is the final chapter of a long and difficult journey.
It’s about land. It’s about inheritance. It’s about women’s rights.

After 40 years in the wilderness, the Israelites stood at the edge of the land promised to their ancestors.
And in this crucial moment, the last issue recorded is not a great battle or a celebration.

Instead, it’s a legal case about land inheritance and marriage.

1. Marriage Rules for Women Who Inherit Land (Numbers 36:1-13)

Earlier, in Numbers 27, Moses established a new legal principle:
＊ If a man had no sons, his daughters could inherit his land.

This was a major breakthrough—but it also raised new complications.

What if these daughters married outside their tribe?

＊ Their inherited land would transfer to their husband’s tribe.
＊ Over time, some tribes would lose land, while others would gain land.
＊ The careful balance of land God had established could be disrupted.

To prevent this, Moses delivered a new rule from God:
＊ Women who inherited land must marry within their tribe (Numbers 36:6).

Some might see this as a restriction.
But in reality, it was a safeguard, designed to protect God’s promise.

Zelophehad’s five daughters accepted this rule and married men from their own tribe (Numbers 36:10).
This ensured that the land remained in their father’s family.

This regulation showed that inheritance was not just a personal right—it was part of God’s larger plan for Israel.

2. Why Is This Law the Last Chapter of Numbers?

Numbers is a book filled with wandering, rebellion, miracles, and battles.
Yet its final chapter is a legal ruling about inheritance and marriage.

This seems unusual—but it carries an important message.

＊ Receiving God’s promise is not enough. It must also be preserved.
＊ Blessings can be lost—not through war, but through neglect.

After 40 years of struggle, Israel had finally arrived at the promised land.
God had told Abraham:
＊ “I will give you and your descendants the land of Canaan as an everlasting possession” (Genesis 17:8).

Now, the Israelites stood on the edge of that fulfillment.
But the real challenge was not just entering the land—it was keeping what had been given.

3. The Spiritual Meaning of Land Inheritance

This law was not just about protecting land ownership.
It carried a deeper, spiritual significance.

In the New Testament, “God’s Kingdom” is not about physical land—it is about spiritual inheritance (Luke 17:20-21).

＊ Receiving a blessing is one thing. Keeping it is another.
＊ Faith, like land, must be nurtured and protected.
＊ God’s plan is not just about promises—it is about responsibility.

Numbers 36 teaches us that neglecting God’s gifts can lead to loss.
Inheritance, whether physical or spiritual, must be guarded and preserved.

4. The Final Lesson of Numbers

Numbers 36 does not describe a moment of victory, but a moment of responsibility.
It is not about reaching the goal, but about keeping the blessing once it is given.

＊ God’s promises remain, but they require human faithfulness.
＊ What is received must be preserved, or it can be lost.
＊ Faith is not passive—it requires action to maintain what has been entrusted to us.

The book of Joshua continues the story, showing how the Israelites stepped forward in faith to claim the land.
But if history teaches us anything, it is this:

＊ A promise fulfilled is not the same as a promise kept.

So, in your own life—
＊ What blessings have you received?
＊ How are you ensuring that they remain protected?
＊ Are you keeping what God has entrusted to you?

Numbers 36 is not just the closing of a book.
It is a reminder that true faith is not just about receiving—but about keeping what matters most.
