1．イエスによる新しい方法（10:1-18）
ヘブル書は読者に旧約聖書の知識があることを前提に書かれています。ですから、律法、いけにえ、モーセといった旧約聖書にある専門用語がたくさん出てきます。古代イスラエルの文化に馴染みのない読者には、読みにくい内容です。
私は聖書が面白くなるためには、やはりある程度の背景知識が必要だと考えています。しかしそれは、聖書を読むことに限ったことではありません。音楽、スポーツ、何でもある程度、知識がないと本当にそれらの世界の魅力は、わからないのです。新約聖書も残すところ、後1か月、ぜひ、忍耐を持って読み続けてください。繰り返し読めばわかることもあります。しかし、もう少しポイントを掴んで読みを深めたければ、私の二子玉川聖書学院でも、また他の聖書学校でも新約概論、旧約概論の講座で学ばれることをお勧めします。
さて、著者は言います。1節「律法は来るべき良きものの影はあっても、その実物はありません。旧約の時代に、神に近付く方法として与えられたものは、律法でした。つまり神に与えられた戒めを、しっかり守ることです。しかし、その方法は、完全なものではありませんでした。事実、いくら律法に基づいていけにえを献げたところで、人は、きよめられることも、罪赦された確信も持てなかったのです。ですから、人は毎年延々といけにえを繰り返し献げます。そして、神もそのような惰性的な繰り返しは喜ばなかった、と言います。
そこで9節、それは廃止され、第二のものが立てられるに至った。つまり、イエス・キリストの十字架によって神に近づく方法が開かれた、と言うわけです。10節、それは、具体的に、十字架上に献げられたイエスを、私たちの罪の赦し、聖めのための一度限りの犠牲であると、信じ受け入れる方法です。献げられるのは、羊や山羊、雄牛ではありません。山鳩、家鳩でもないのです。イエスという生身の人間なのです。この一度限りの犠牲で、神は、「もはや彼らの罪と不法を思い起こさない」と約束してくれた、と言うのです。腹を決めさせられる言葉です。
ユダヤ人は、毎年、動物のいけにえを献げ、それによって罪赦され、聖められると考えました。日本人は、毎年、除夜の鐘を聞きながら、108つの煩悩（欲望や執着）から心清められて、新しい年を迎えようとします。毎年毎年繰り返しながら、人生に祝福あれと願うのです。しかし、神は、イエスが2000年前に十字架に献げられた、ただその一つでよいのではないか、それを受け入れたら、あなたは神の祝福の中に永遠に入れられていると確信してよいのではないか、と言うわけです。
2．神に近づける恵みに基づく勧め（10:22-39）
そこで、22節、信仰を持って、神に近付こうではないか、と問いかけます。以降、著者は、たくさんの勧めをしています。24節、社会に正義と平和をもたらす神と共に生きていくのですから「愛と善行を促しあいましょう」と言います。また、神あっての私たち、集会は休まないようにしましょう、と言います。実際、対面で神にお会いする日、終末の日が近付いているのですから、ますます、そうしましょう、と言うわけです。26-31節、イエスにある罪の赦しの恵みを大切にしましょう、と言います。一人の人間のいのちが献げられた、その重さを忘れてはなりません。聖めの人生を歩みましょう、と言います。34節、また、迫害の中にある人々を忘れず思いやりましょう、と言います。自分のことだけを考える人生は終わりにしましょう。また忍耐を持って、神の救いの完成を待ち望みましょう、と言います。
臆病者、裏切り者は、過去のものです。今は、神を信じ、神のいのちに生き、天に向かって生きる者です。

Hebrews 10: Relationships Renewed Forever
1. The New Way Through Jesus (10:1-18)
The book of Hebrews assumes that its readers are familiar with the Old Testament. Therefore, there are many Old Testament terms such as law, sacrifice, and Moses. It is a difficult read for readers unfamiliar with ancient Israelite culture.
I still believe that some background knowledge is necessary to make the Bible interesting. But this is not limited to reading the Bible. Music, sports, and everything else require a certain amount of knowledge to really understand the fascination of those worlds. There is only one month left in the New Testament, so please be patient and keep reading. There are some things you will understand if you read it repeatedly. However, if you want to get to the point and deepen your reading, I recommend that you take the Introduction to the New Testament and Introduction to the Old Testament courses at my Futako-Tamagawa Bible Institute or other Bible schools.
Now, the author says: Verse 1, “The Law is a shadow of good things to come, but not the substance of them. In Old Testament times, what was given as a way to approach God was the Law. That is, to keep the commandments given by God and to keep them well. However, this method was not perfect. In fact, no matter how many sacrifices were offered according to the Law, people could not be purified or be convinced that their sins were forgiven. Therefore, people continued to offer sacrifices year after year after year. And God was not pleased with such a lazy repetition.
So, verse 9, it was abolished and a second one was set up. Verse 10, specifically, a way of believing and accepting Jesus, who was offered on the Cross as a once-for-all sacrifice for the forgiveness and sanctification of our sins. It is not a sheep, a goat, or a bull that is offered. It is not a dove or a pigeon. It is Jesus, a man of flesh and blood. With this unique sacrifice, God promises to “remember their sins and transgressions no more. These are heart-wrenching words.
The Jews offered animal sacrifices every year, believing that they would be forgiven and sanctified. Japanese people listen to the ringing of bells every year to welcome the New Year and purify their minds of the 108 worldly desires and attachments. They wish for blessings on their lives year after year. But God says to us, “If you accept the one thing that Jesus offered on the cross 2,000 years ago, you can be sure that you will be in God’s blessing forever.
2. Grace-based exhortation to draw near to God (10:22-39)
Then, in v. 22, he asks that we draw near to God by faith. From then on, the author makes many recommendations: in verse 24, he says, “Let us urge one another to love and to do good deeds,” because we are to live with God, who brings justice and peace to society. He also says that we are God’s people and that we should not rest from our meetings. Verses 26-31 say that we should treasure the grace of the forgiveness of sins that we have in Jesus. Let us not forget the weight of the gift of human life. He says to live a life of sanctification, v. 34, and to remember and have compassion on those who are persecuted. Let us not live our lives thinking only of ourselves. Let us be patient and look forward to the consummation of God’s salvation.
Cowards and traitors belong to the past. Now are those who believe in God, live in His life, and live toward heaven.
