6章　神殿奉献の祈り

1．「黒雲の中に住む」

神殿が完成し、神殿奉献式の際の、ソロモンの祈りが記録されています。まず開口一番に、「主は黒雲の中に住む」とソロモンは、ある言葉を引用します。おそらくこの言葉は、当時のイスラエル人の間ではよく使われたフレーズだったのでしょう。つまり「黒雲」と訳された言葉は、ヘブル語でアラーフェル。「闇」と訳されるホーシェクではありません。それは、雲が厚く重なった暗さをイメージしていて、イスラエルの人々には、出エジプトにおける特別な体験を思い起こさせるものでした。かつてイスラエルの民は、エジプトを脱出した後、シナイ山へたどり着き、そこでシナイ山の空に広がる黒雲の中に、自分たちを救い出した神の臨在を厳粛な思いで体験したのです（出エジプト20:21）。実に彼らは、神が恐れ多い方でありながらも、私たち側に臨在されることを知り、それを、子々孫々に伝えてきたのです。ソロモンは、その神こそが、この新しい神殿にも臨在してくださるように、と願ったわけです。

2．ソロモンの証

次にソロモンは、三つのことを証ししています。

①ソロモンは、ダビデに代わって王位についた（10節）

②ソロモンは、この宮を建てる（10節）

③ソロモンは、主の契約の箱をそこに置いた（11節）

これらすべてが、主の約束の成就であると言うわけです（4、10、15節）。彼は、神の約束の確かさを確認しているのです。私たちキリスト者の人生もまたすべて神の約束の成就として進んでいくものです。私たちはより良い人生を生きるように努力するでしょう。しかしその努力を実り豊かなものにしてくださるのは、神なのです。

3．とりなしの祈り

続いてソロモンは、四つのとりなしの祈りをしています。

一つは人が罪を犯した時のとりなしです（24-27節）。自分が罪人であると打ちのめされる時にこそ、神の宮が居場所であると心得ましょう。そこで神は、その人の罪を赦し、回復し、再び祝福を注いでくださいます。神殿がダビデ王の悔い改めの場に建てられた、その象徴的な意味を思い起こすことです。第二に、ききんや疫病、害虫による災害、いわゆる不慮の災いに巻き込まれた時のとりなしです。思いもよらぬ災いに苦しめられる時にも、そこで落胆し、絶望したりせず、まず神の宮に足を運ぶのです。そして祈り、神の助けと報いを心から願うことです（28-30節）。キリスト者であるなしに関わらずです。というのも、神は全人類の父であるからです。神がすべての人を心に留めておられます（32-33節）。第三に、私たちが敵に立ち向かう時、つまりチャレンジを受けるような時に、神の宮へ参りましょう（34-35節）。ヒゼキヤ王がまさにその通りにした人でした。彼は、強国アッシリヤに包囲され、降伏を迫られた時、その書状をもって主の宮に上り、主の前に広げて祈ったのです（2列王19:14）。そして最後に敵に敗れ、後いという時も、主の宮に向かうことです（36-39節）。バビロンにエルサレムが破壊され、捕虜として連れ去られたダニエルがこのことばを受け止めていました。いつも彼はエルサレムの方を向いて、祈ったとされます（ダニエル6:10）。つまりいついかなる時にも、教会へ足を運び、主の祝福を熱心に求め、主の恵みを祈ることです。そこに神の恵みの応答もあるからです（14節）。信仰に後ろ向き、否定的であることのために、人は神の祝福を受け損なっていることがあります。神の宮（教会）が祈りの家と呼ばれるのは、教会に天地万物をお造りになった神に対する希望があるからです。では今日もよき一日となるように祈ります。

taChapter 6 Temple Dedication Prayer

1. “Living in Dark Clouds”

The temple is completed, and Solomon’s prayer is recorded at the temple dedication ceremony. First of all, Solomon quotes, “The Lord dwells in black clouds.” Perhaps this word was a popular phrase among Israelis at the time. In other words, the word translated as “black cloud” is Arafel in Hebrew. Not Horsek, which translates as “darkness.” It was an image of darkness with thick clouds, and it reminded the Israelites of their special experience at the Exodus. Once, after the Israelites had escaped from Egypt, they reached Mount Sinai, where they solemnly experienced the presence of God who had rescued them in the black clouds that spread over Mount Sinai (Exodus 20:21). Indeed, even though they are fearful, they know that God is on our side, and they have passed it on to their children and grandchildren. Solomon hoped that this very God would be present in this new temple as well.

2. Solomon’s testimony

Solomon then testifies to three things.

1) Solomon took the throne in place of David (verse 10).

②Solomon built this temple (verse 10)

③Solomon laid the ark of the covenant of his Lord there (verse 11)

All these are the fulfillment of the Lord’s promises (verses 4, 10, 15). He confirms the certainty of God’s promises. Our Christian life is also a fulfillment of God’s promises. We will try to live a better life. But it is God who makes the effort fruitful.

3. intercessory prayer

Solomon then says four intercessory prayers.

One is intercession when a person sins (verses 24-27). When he is overwhelmed with sinners, let him know that the temple of God is his place. Then God will forgive that person’s sins, restore them, and pour out their blessings again. It is to remember the symbolic meaning that the temple was built at the place of repentance for King David. Secondly, intercession when we are involved in famine, pestilence, pest disasters, so-called unforeseen calamities. Even when you are tormented by an unexpected calamity, don’t be discouraged or despair there, but first go to the temple of God. And prayer, a sincere request for God’s help and reward (vv. 28-30). Whether you are a Christian or not. For God is the Father of all mankind. God has everyone in mind (vv. 32-33). Third, when we face our enemies, when we are challenged, let us go to the temple of God (vv. 34-35). King Hezekiah was the one who did just that. When he was besieged by the mighty Assyria and forced to surrender, he took the letter to the house of his Lord and laid it out before his Lord in prayer (2 Kings 19:14). And when you are finally defeated by the enemy and have no future, go to the house of the Lord (verses 36-39). Daniel, who had been taken captive after Jerusalem was destroyed by Babylon, received these words. He always turned to Jerusalem and prayed (Daniel 6:10). That means going to church at all times, earnestly seeking the blessings of the Lord, and praying for His grace. Because there is also the response of God’s grace (verse 14). A person may fail to receive God’s blessings because of his backwardness and denial of faith. The temple of God (church) is called the house of prayer because there is hope in the church for God who created the heavens and the earth. I hope you have a good day today.
