1．種蒔きのたとえ（13:1-23）

13章は、イエスの説教をまとめたものです。まとまった説教集としては、山上の説教（5-7章）、宣教の教え（10章）に続いて三番目になります。しかも、この説教集、たとえ話を集めたものです。またその対象は、弟子たちです。つまり、それは仲間内に語られたもので、仲間内の意見や考え方を一致させようとする目的を持つものでした。

というのも、これまで人々はイエスに様々な反応を示しました。その反応をどう受け止めていくべきか、イエスは、考え方を整理していくのです。そこでまず語られるのは、種まきのたとえです。

四つの土地があります。それぞれの土地で、作物が生み出される結果も違います。それは、様々な反応を示す人達と同じです。例えば道ばたに落ちた種。それは、踏み固められた道のように堅い心、イエスの語っていることに、懐疑的、反抗的で、全く受け入れようとしない人を象徴しています。土の薄い岩地に落ちた種。それは、イエスの語っていることにあたりは良いのですが、真剣に聞いているわけではありません。困難や迫害が起ると、教えられていたはずなのに、聞いていたことを忘れているので、躓いてしまうような人をたとえています。茨の中に落ちた種は、我の強い人。神のことばを受け入れて信仰を持っても、自己流から抜けられないので、聖書的な実を結ぶことができない人です。良い地に落ちた種は、しっかり神のことばを受け止めて、これに心から従い、結果霊的に成長していく人のことです。このたとえは、先の律法学者（9章）、バプテスマのヨハネ（11章）、パリサイ人（12:1-45）、イエスの家族（12:46-50）の反応、そして、13章末尾に書かれたイエスの郷里の人々、それぞれの反応を思い浮かべさせるものです。

2．神のことばに応答する人々の成長（1:24-35）

続く毒麦（24-30）、からし種（31-32）、パン種（33節）のたとえは、四つの土地のたとえに通じる内容があり、まとめて理解すべきものがあります。しばしばこの毒麦のたとえについて、「畑」は「教会」であると理解してきた人は多いのではないでしょうか。しかしここでの「畑」は「この世の社会」を意味

しています。世界中に聖書は配布され、神のことばに応答する人々が起こされていますが、誰が良い信仰で誰が悪い信仰であるかなど、最後の最後、つまり終末の時まではわからないものだ、と言います。ただ、イエスが始められた神の御国をつくる働きは、からし種やパン種のように、小さく始まって大きく完成するものだ、と言います。確かに、イエスに対する反応は様々でした。この先どうなるのか全く見当もつかない状態でした。けれども、それは確かに始まったのであり、その成長と完成は確実だと言うわけです。

3．自発的、主体的な信仰（1:36-58）

イエスは群衆と別れて家に戻られると、弟子たちに、この毒麦のたとえを解説し、さらに3つのたとえを語られました。おそらく、考える時間を与えたのでしょう。そして自分がどの立ち位置にあるかを判断させて、腹を決めさせる話へと移っていくのです。つまり、宝のたとえ（44節）は、イエスの教えの素晴らしさがわかれば、持ち物を全部売り払っても惜しくはないことを教えています。イエスに従う信仰の道は、それほどのお宝である、と。真珠のたとえ（45-46）も同じです。信仰者が主体的、積極的になる理由を語っています。第3の網のたとえ（47-50）は、毒麦のたとえの結論（49-50）を繰り返しています。神のみことばに対する様々な反応が許されているのは今だけのことだと言うわけです。終末の時が来れば、御国は完成するわけですから、正しい反応をする人々だけがより分けられてそこに入ることになります。至極当然の結果です。大切なのは、学者のように、知恵深く、適切に、福音を語ることです（51-53）。

伝道というのは、自分が聞いて理解したことを伝えるのが基本です。そこに様々な反応が起こるのは当たり前で、よき反応をするとしても、それがさらにどうなるかはわかりません。イエスが教えるように、知恵深く、丁寧に語っていく、これが基本です。では今日もよき一日となるように祈ります。

Matthew 13, Chapter 3 Sermon (Parable of the Kingdom of Heaven)

1. the parable of the sower (13:1-23)

Chapter 13 is a compilation of Jesus’ sermons. It is the third sermon in the collection, following the Sermon on the Mount (chapters 5-7) and the missionary teaching (chapter 10). Moreover, this sermon is a collection of parables. Moreover, it is a collection of parables, and its target audience is the disciples. In other words, it was a sermon addressed to fellow believers, with the purpose of bringing them together in their opinions and ideas.

This is because people have had different reactions to Jesus. Jesus is going to organize the ideas on how to respond to those reactions. The first thing he talks about is the parable of the sower.

There are four lands. Each land produces different crops with different results. It is the same with people who react in different ways. For example, a seed that falls on the side of the road. It symbolizes a heart as hard as a trodden path, a person who is skeptical, rebellious, and totally unwilling to accept what Jesus is saying. The seed that fell on rocky soil with thin soil. It is good for what Jesus is saying, but it is not being taken seriously. It is a metaphor for a person who, when difficulties and persecutions arise, stumbles because he has forgotten what he was supposed to have heard, even though he was supposed to have been taught. The seed that falls among thorns is the egotistical person. He is a person who accepts God’s Word and has faith, but is unable to bear biblical fruit because he is stuck in his own self. The seed that fell on good ground is the person who firmly accepts God’s Word, sincerely obeys it, and grows spiritually as a result. This parable brings to mind the responses of the Scribes (chapter 9), John the Baptist (chapter 11), the Pharisees (12:1-45), Jesus’ family (12:46-50), and the people in Jesus’ hometown, described at the end of chapter 13.

2. the growth of those who respond to the Word of God (1:24-35)

The parables of the poisoned barley (vv. 24-30), the mustard seed (vv. 31-32), and the breadfruit (v. 33) that follow are similar in content to the four parables of the land and should be understood collectively. Often people have understood the parable of the poisoned wheat to mean that the “field” is the “church. However, the “field” here means “the society of this world.

The Bible is distributed throughout the world. The Bible is being distributed throughout the world, and people are being raised up to respond to God’s Word, but they say that we will not know who has good faith and who has bad faith until the end of time. However, he says that the work of creating the Kingdom of God, which Jesus initiated, is like a mustard seed or a loaf of bread: it begins small and ends in great completion. Certainly, the response to Jesus was mixed. They had no idea what was going to happen next. But it was certainly a beginning, and its growth and completion are certain.

3. spontaneous and independent faith (1:36-58)

When Jesus left the crowd and returned home, he explained to his disciples the parable of the poisoned wheat and told them three more parables. Perhaps he gave them time to think. Then he moved on to a story that made them decide where they stood, and made them make up their minds. In other words, the parable of the treasures (v. 44) tells us that once we realize the excellence of Jesus’ teaching, we are willing to sell all of our possessions. The path of faith that follows Jesus is such a treasure. The same is true of the parable of the pearls (45-46). It tells us why the believer is proactive and active. The third parable of the net (47-50) repeats the conclusion of the parable of the poisoned wheat (49-50). It says that it is only now that various reactions to God’s Word are permitted. When the end times come, the Kingdom will be completed, and only those who respond correctly will be separated and enter it. This is a perfectly natural outcome. The important thing is to speak the gospel wisely and appropriately, like a scholar (51-53).

Evangelism is based on communicating what you have heard and understood. It is natural that there will be a variety of reactions to this, and even if we respond well, we do not know what more will come of it. The basic principle is to speak wisely and carefully, just as Jesus taught. I pray that you have a good day today.
