29章　イスラエルの敵陣に立つダビデ

1．窮地に立たされたダビデ

サウルが窮地に立たされる一方で、ダビデもまた窮地に陥っていました。彼は同胞イスラエルとの戦争に駆りだされたのです。たとえ自分のいのちを救うためであっても、本来手を組むべきではない者たちと手を組んだ結末でした。

しばしば人は、本来近づいてはならないものに近づくことがあるものでしょう。様々な意味でつりあわぬくびきを負って歩む、そんな状況に陥ることがあります。ダビデのように間違った陣営に迷い込んで、結果的には神のみこころとはおおよそ異なる行動を取らされてしまうことがあるのです。

ダビデはアキシュに自らの誠実さを主張していますが、実際はそうではありませんでした。ダビデは二枚舌の大ウソつきでした。アキシュはダビデを「何のあやまちも見つけない」（3節）「正しい人」（6節）「神の使いのように正しい」（9節）と評価しましたが、彼は完全に騙されていたのです。しかも、その嘘と偽りに塗り固められた人生は、「このしもべに何かあやまちでもあったのでしょうか」（8節）と堂々とはったりをかますほどに、完璧でした。本当のところダビデの心の内は、どうであったのでしょう。ダビデはこのような心の矛盾に悩まなかったのでしょうか？

ダビデは詩篇で告白しています「あなたは、私のさすらいを記しておられます。どうか私の涙を、あなたの皮袋に蓄えてください」（56:8）。憎しみと敵意の集中砲火を受け、まさに先の見えぬさすらいの人生を歩まざるを得ない状況の中で、その心はねじれにねじれ、ダビデ自身苦しんでいたのでしょう。

イスラエルの王位を約束されたダビデにとって、王国から蹴り出され、まるで虫けらのごとく扱われたその気持ちはいかばかりであったでしょうか。能力がありながらも、それを頭ごなしに否定されていくのです。しかし、ダビデは語っています。「神に信頼し、私は何も恐れません。人が私に何をなし得るでしょう。まことに、あなたは救い出してくださいました。私のいのちを死から。私の足をつまずきから。私が、いのちの光のうちに、神の御前に歩むために。」（56:11,13）もがいて生きるしかない状況を、彼はじっと受け入れ、神の完全な救いを待ち望んだというべきでしょう。

2．もっとパット救ってくださってもいいのに

ただ命拾いして、先も見通せずにもがき続ける、それも神のあわれみだというのは、正直どんなものだろう、と思う方もいるのではないでしょうか。そんなあいまいな救われ方ではなくて、救われるのだったらすっきり救われたい、と思うのは自然なことです。サウルが即座に王位から追放され、ぎたぎたにされ、翌日からでも王位に返り咲いて意気揚々と新しい出発をする、そんなわかりやすい救いは起こらないものか、このような微妙な救われ方は嫌だ、と思うものではないでしょうか。しかし、すべてにちょうどよい時があるのです。微妙な救われ方、これは始まりだと考えるべきでしょう。

3．神に躓かない

ともあれ、ダビデの不誠実さにもかかわらず、神は、着実に、ダビデの手に王国取り戻される道を整えておられました。神は、ご自身の永遠の定めを変えられることはありません。神が始めてくださった救いのみ業は、私たちの状態とは関係がなく、日々完成されていくように導かれています。神はご自身の愛する者のために、すべてのことを働かせて益とし、最善をなそうとしています。ですから「私に躓かない者は幸いである」とイエスが語ったように、善き神に躓かないことです。私たちの人生は、イエスの十字架の恵みによって、神の祝福の中にあることは確かです。私たちが不誠実であっても、神は真実です。しかしダビデもその神の真実さを深く味わうのは、つまり神が本当に真実であると心から実感していくのは、まだ先なのです。ですから自分が神を信用せず、間違ったパートナーと手を組み、誠実さどころか、偽りで塗り固められた人生を歩み始めていると思うことがあるなら、潔くそのことを認め、神のあわれみに寄りすがることです。神は、思いがけない結果をもたらし、私たちの真実さを回復させてくださいます。あなたは、よきにしてくださる神を信頼して神の時を待つことです。では今日もよき一日となるように祈ります。

1. David in a pinch

While Saul was in trouble, David was also in trouble. He was driven into a war with his compatriot Israel. Even if he was to save his life, he ended up joining hands with those who shouldn’t.

Often, one will come closer to something that shouldn’t be. In many ways, you may end up in a situation where you walk with a sword. Like David, he can get lost in the wrong camp and eventually behave in a way that is largely different from God’s will.

David insisted on Akish his integrity, but in reality, it wasn’t. David had a big lie with two tongues. Akish described David as “no fault in him” (ver. 3), “reliable” (ver. 6), and “as an angle of God” (ver. 9), but he was completely deceived. What’s more, his life, filled with lies and lies, was so perfect that he bluntly said, “What have you found against your servant?” (Ver. 8). How was the truth in David’s heart? Did David not suffer from such a contradiction in mind?

David confesses in his psalm, “Record my misery; list my tears on your scroll- are they not in your record?” (56:8). In a situation where he was forced to live a life of unseen wandering under the barrage of hatred and hostility, his heart would have been twisted and suffered by David himself.

For David, who was promised the throne of Israel, how did he feel when he was kicked out of the kingdom and treated like a bug? Despite his ability, he is simply denied it. But David says. “in God I trust and am not afraid. What can man do to me?  For you have delivered me from death and my feet from stumbling, that I may walk before God in the right of life.” (56:11,13) He should have accepted the situation of struggling and living, and waited for God’s complete salvation.

2. I wish I could save more putts

To be honest, some people may wonder what it is like to just take a life and continue struggling without looking ahead, which is also the mercy of God. It is natural that we want to be saved cleanly if we are saved, instead of such an ambiguous way of being saved. Saul is immediately expelled from the throne, shattered, and even the next day, David returns to the throne and makes a triumphant new departure. Isn’t it something you think? But there are times when everything is just right. A subtle way of being saved, this should be considered the beginning.

3. Don’t stumble on God

In any case, despite David’s dishonesty, God has steadily prepared the way for David to regain the kingdom. God cannot change his own eternal plans. The work of salvation that God has begun has nothing to do with our condition and is guided to be completed every day.

 

 

God is trying to do everything for his loved ones to do his best. So, as Jesus said, Blessed are those who do not stumble upon me,” do not stumble upon the good God. It is certain that our lives are in the blessing of God by the grace of Jesus’ cross. Even if we are dishonest, God is true. However, it is still a long time before David really enjoys the truth of God, that is, he truly realizes that God is really true. So if you don’t trust God and think you’re starting a life filled with lies, rather than honesty, with the wrong partner, admit it and lean on God’s mercy. It is to pass. God brings unexpected results and restores our truth. You are to trust in God who is good and wait for His time. I pray that today will be a good day.
